The Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens, Inc., hosted its latest Italian Night 2026 on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Each Wednesday, from July 1 to Aug. 26, at Athens Square Park in Astoria, singers of Italian descent come to the stage to perform a variety of Italian hits, ranging from traditional, popular songs to even old-time hits.

This week, Gino Belmonte came on stage to perform songs – considered his “old time favorites” — from the 1940s to the present. He is an Italian-American singer mostly known for being a part of the Pane & Cioccolato Band

Hundreds of guests came together, surrounding the park with lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show from 7 to 9 p.m. Throughout Belmonte’s performance, many came to the stage to dance along, enjoying the tunes and celebrating the rich culture of Italy.

The Federation of Italian American Organizations of Queens, Inc. was founded in 1971 and is based in Astoria. Annually, they organize and host Italian Nights, the Queens County Columbus Parade and various community gatherings over the holidays. The event is made possible by grants provided by Provident Bank.
