Outback Steakhouse in New Springville has closed after 20 years in business on Staten Island. Signage posted on the door says the restaurant permanently shuttered on Aug. 10 and will not reopen. A letter thanked customers, saying it has truly been a privilege to serve the Staten Island community. The spokesperson said some team members can transfer to a nearby restaurant and receive a transition bonus. Outback’s website lists 661 restaurants across the United States, and the Staten Island location has been removed.
