Flushing Town Hall (FTH), located at 137-35 Northern Blvd. in Flushing, announced the expansion of the GO Queens Regranting Program, receiving a $525,000, two-year grant from a private charitable foundation.
The GO Queens Regranting Program helps provide funding to Queens-based performing arts and cultural organizations.
“The grant is made to take that lift off of wondering where finances are going to come from,” FTH Manager of Art Services Melissa Vazquez said. “Instead, organizations and artists can just focus on strengthening their programming and outreach, rather than spending time finding brands and worrying about where they’re going to find money to pay their workers.”

The program began in 2024, receiving support from the Howard Gilman Foundation. They provided 25 annual $10,000 general operating grants to performing arts nonprofits across Queens. Now, with the expansion, 46 $20,000 two-year grants ($10,000 per year) will receive funding, double from what it was before. Due to this, the awards will be moving from a one-year to a two-year funding cycle.
According to a press release sent by FTH, “The funds will support Queens-based arts and culture nonprofits with annual operating budgets under $250,000 for whom the performing arts are a core focus.”
Applications for the grant will open on Sept. 14 and remain open through Dec. 1. Throughout the grant cycle, Vazquez will be conducting information sessions both virtually and in person, as well as one-on-one reviews. Select organizations that will receive the grant will be notified by March of 2027, and, according to their website, “The first $10,000 payment will be made after grant decisions go out in Spring 2027. The second $10,000 payment will be made in January 2028.”
Notable grant winners from previous years include Queensborough Dance Festival, Shakespeare on the Rocks and Salvatore Larussa Dance Company.
