Monos, a design-driven travel brand, has joined forces with Brooklyn Coachworks to create a one-of-a-kind Land Rover Defender 90. The collaboration pairs Monos’ minimalist approach with the vintage restoration expertise of Brooklyn Coachworks. One traveler will win the custom Defender, a complete luggage set, and a trip to New York City valued at $115,000. Entries are open through November 27 to residents of the U.S. and Canada, excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Quebec.

The campaign launched in September and quickly gained traction. The Defender was recently displayed in front of Monos’ new SoHo flagship store, drawing attention to the collaboration. Since the giveaway opened, Monos has logged more than 23,000 participating accounts, 96,000 total entry actions, and over 18 million entries processed.

A Defender with Monos DNA

The custom Land Rover Defender 90 blends British heritage with modern craftsmanship. Finished in Arles Blue, a color drawn from Land Rover’s 1990s palette and named after the French town of Arles, the SUV features a natural black mohair soft-top and a saddle-tan Italian leather interior. Custom Monos touches include embroidered seats and metal plates, while a restored TD5 engine and five-speed transmission keep the Defender true to its rugged roots.

Monos describes the vehicle as “born from a shared love of craft, heritage, and the open road.” Designed for both city streets and rough terrain, it symbolizes the partnership’s focus on functional design that endures over time.

A limited-edition collection to match

To mark the collaboration, Monos released a limited-edition Arles Blue capsule that mirrors the SUV’s glossy finish and tan interior. The six-piece collection includes hard-shell suitcases priced from $305 to $405, plus matching packing cubes. Each piece carries Monos’ signature build: lightweight polycarbonate shell, quiet spinner wheels, recycled linings, and vegan leather accents.

The Defender project closes out a landmark year for Monos, with the sweepstakes running through late November.
