LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – Butch Huskey, the former Eisenhower Eagle-turned-New York Met, has died at age 54, the Mets say.
“We are saddened to learn about the passing of former Met Butch Huskey,” the Mets said in a social media statement.
A cause of death has not been released.
Huskey was an all-around athlete, playing multiple sports with the Eagles and was eventually drafted out of high school to the Mets in the 7th round of the 1989 MLB Draft.
