Another 40 properties have been cleared in search of radioactive materials in Western New York.
That report comes from the Environmental Protection Agency and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
More than a month ago, residents in the town of Niagara announced radioactive materials had been detected on their property.
Since then, the EPA and the state DEC say they have been given permission to screen more than 800 properties.
The discovery last month led officials to host a wider community meeting and the agency has already offered temporary relocation to some people living in the area.
The search encompasses parts of Niagara County, as well as Grand Island in Erie County.
