Police say they are on the hunt for a Bronx brute who attacked a husband and wife with multiple weapons early Sunday morning, leaving them both hospitalized.

According to police sources, it all unfolded just after 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 16 near West 183rd Street and Grand Avenue when a 36-year-old woman got into a verbal dispute with several other women. However, as her 37-year-old husband attempted to break up the clash, they were both viciously assaulted.

Cops say the suspect first used a blunt object to strike the wife across her head before slashing her arm. He then turned his attention to the husband, stabbing him several times in the back. When paramedics and officers from the 52nd Precinct arrived, they found both victims bloodied.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator fled the scene in a dark colored SUV traveling Eastbound on Evelyn Place. He was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, white tank top, and light-colored shorts.

Police are asking anyone who knows him or his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
