Hold your breath, Jets fans.
Breece Hall suffered a strained groin during Monday’s practice as he came up lame after catching a screen pass and rolling toward the end zone.
Hall hobbled over to the medical tent and was examined by trainers before leaving the practice field. He’s headed for an MRI.
“I don’t think it was a big deal,” head coach Aaron Glenn said, “but I want to make sure I want to get an evaluation on that. One good thing about our players is they are honest with their injuries. If they can go, they can go, but I’m going to try to be precautionary.”
Hall, who signed a three-year, $43.5 million extension in the offseason, is expected to be a focal point of the offense.

He had his first 1,000-yard rushing season last year.
Hall, 27, is a big proponent of MetLife Stadium changing from turf to grass but the practice injury occurred on grass.
