Police are asking the public’s help in finding a missing 8-year-old boy who disappeared in Brooklyn’s East New York on Monday.

Police are asking the public’s help in finding a missing 8-year-old boy who disappeared in Brooklyn’s East New York on Monday.

According to police sources, little Avery Dejesus left his home near Dumont and Van Siclen Avenues at around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 17. He has not been seen since. 

He is described as standing 4 feet and 11 inches tall and approximately 100 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.

While cops say they are combing the area looking for the boy, they are also asking the public to keep a lookout and to notify authorities immediately if he is spotted.
