Included in the Brooklyn Park Police Department’s emergency alerts were these incidents:
Aug. 6 — At approximately 5 a.m., members of the Brooklyn Park Police Tactical Response Unit served a high-risk search warrant in the area of 89th Avenue North and Founders Parkway. The search warrant was conducted in conjunction with an ongoing Brooklyn Park criminal investigation. During the warrant, an adult and adult female were detained on scene without incident. The incident is under investigation by the Brooklyn Park Police.
Aug. 9 — At 10:58 a.m., the fire department responded to 8020 Brooklyn Blvd. (Dragon Star Supermarket) for a fire alarm. First-arriving units found sprinkler controlled appliance fire inside the market. The incident was upgraded to a business fire. Auto aid was started but cancelled per command. The fire was under control by the sprinkler system upon arrival of the fire department. There were no injuries.
