Margot Rose (I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road) will bring her autobiographical show Unconditional, a musical memoir to NYC this fall, with performances to run October 15-25 at La MaMa’s The Club Off-Broadway. Anne Kenny is directing the work, which is written and performed by Rose.

Featuring music by Rose and Aaron Benham, the show centers on Rose’s five-year journey to becoming a parent with her female partner, a task that saw them navigating fertility treatments, financial sacrifices, and more in a time when building an LGBTQIA+ family was even more difficult than it is today. An unexpected tragedy decades later forces her to confront the true meaning of family. The piece premiered at California’s Skylight Theatre in 2025.

Rose will be joined in the Off-Broadway bow by Melina Young as The Girl. The production will also feature lighting and scenic design by Alison Brummer and music direction by Benham.

Tickets are available via OvationTix.
