On August 15, 2026, New York State Police assigned to SP Newburgh arrested Precious G. Adediran, 45, of Brooklyn, for Aggravated DWI. 

At approximately 11:15 p.m. on August 15, troopers observed a 2025 Kia Sportage traveling northbound on the New York State Thruway (I-87) in the town of Cornwall driving erratically and in violation of vehicle and traffic laws. A traffic stop was conducted, and upon interview of the operator, identified as Adediran, troopers observed signs of impairment. Standard field sobriety tests were administered, which Adediran failed. 

He was placed into custody and transported to SP Newburgh for processing, where he registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.26%.

Adediran was charged with the following:

Aggravated driving while intoxicated, BAC 0.18% or more Driving while intoxicated – 1st offenseVehicle and traffic law violations

Adediran was released to a sober third party and is due in Cornwall Town Court on September 2. 

The New York State Police urge drivers to use the STOP-DWI Have a Plan app to help them get home safely. The free app allows users to contact a taxi service or ride share, program a designated-driver list, or report a suspected impaired driver. The app is available for Apple and Android smart phones.
