STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island students at a local Catholic elementary school welcomed a new principal for a day, NYPD Assistant Chief Melissa Eger, the Staten Island borough commander.
The boys and girls of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Tompkinsville were treated to a very special visit by Eger and officers of the NYPD on Oct. 29. At the time, the men and women in blue brought out all the stops to make the day extra special for the students.
