The annual Bolivian Day Parade was held in Jackson Heights on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The parade took place from 12 PM to 3 PM. The free community event marched along 37th Avenue from 69th Street to 89th Street in the borough. Marchers showcased traditional Andean folk dances. Live brass bands also entertained the energetic and festive crowd while wearing vibrant cultural garments.
Incredible dance troupes performed Caporales, Diablada, Morenada, Tinku, and Tobas in bright costumes. The awe-inspiring dance moves received warm smiles from every spectator who was in attendance last weekend.
The Queens Gazette was on the ground to capture this photo from this year’s parade with all the excitement and celebration of the timeless history and culture of Bolivia. From the stunning costumes to the high-energy performances, there was something for everyone on the parade route. Community organizations and dance academies from across New York City took part in the joyous festivities. 37th Avenue turned into a heart-pounding, three-hour celebration of movement, music, and life.
