NEW YORK (PIX11) — A 72-year-old man was shoved onto the tracks in the Rockefeller Center subway station in Midtown early Wednesday, police said.
The man was standing on the northbound platform on the F and D lines when he was pushed from behind just before 4 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The victim fell onto the tracks but was able to climb back onto the platform, police said. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Sources said the attack was unprovoked.
Francisco Garcia, 40, was arrested in the Rockefeller Center station and charged with assault and reckless endangerment, cops said.
