South Side rape suspect arrested in New York City
PITTSBURGH —
A man wanted for allegedly raping a woman in a parking lot in Pittsburgh’s South Side was arrested Thursday in New York City, police said.
Larry Pappy Johnson was taken into custody in Staten Island, authorities said.

According to a criminal complaint, Johnson allegedly dragged the victim to a parking lot off South 14th Street, assaulted her, stole her belongings, and left her naked.
Pittsburgh police said Johnson, 37, faces charges of rape, sexual assault, robbery, false imprisonment and indecent assault in connection with the Aug. 8 incident.
Johnson has a long criminal history, including a conviction for a stabbing on the South Side in 2019.
