Lil’ Kim is bringing Hard Core back to Brooklyn for a one-night concert celebrating the landmark album with a live orchestra.
Hard Core Symphony will take place Nov. 19 at Kings Theatre, where the Brooklyn native will perform reimagined versions of songs from her groundbreaking 1996 debut alongside Thee Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra.
Originally released in 1996, Hard Core marked Lil’ Kim’s solo introduction and helped establish her as one of hip-hop’s defining female artists. Executive produced by The Notorious B.I.G., the double-platinum album became known for its raw lyrics, bold themes and boundary-pushing style.
Thee Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra, an all-Black orchestral ensemble known for blending hip-hop and R&B with live instrumentation, will transform some of Lil’ Kim’s most recognized records for the symphonic performance. Fans can expect orchestral renditions of “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix),” “Big Momma Thang,” “Crush On You” and “No Time.”
The night will also lean into the fashion and elegance associated with the historic setting, with guests encouraged to attend in formal black-tie attire.
Produced by GPK Entertainment, Hard Core Symphony is positioned as a live celebration of Lil’ Kim’s debut and the influence it continues to have on hip-hop. Tickets are available for purchase here.
