Casper’s firefighters had visitors this week from the Bay to Brooklyn Memorial Riders. The cross country bike ride takes California firefighters from the Bay Area to Brooklyn, New York to honor the first responders of the September 11 attacks.
The cyclists met with Casper firefighters on August, 16. The oil city fire crew was presented with a plaque commemorating the visit and contributed their signatures to a board that will travel with the riders to Brooklyn. The riders started in Santa Clara on August 2nd and will conclude their journey in Brooklyn on September, 10.
