Country Corner has some new treats for this year’s New York State Fair.
Patrick Reeves from Country Corner appeared on Today in Central New York on Monday to talk about what fairgoers can expect. Just click above to watch the interview.
“Freedom Bacon” is in honor of America’s 250th birthday.
“This is the hickory-smoked bacon, Reeves said. “It’s got chocolate. It’s got white chocolate and it’s got red, white and blue sprinkles.”
The cost is $7.
Also new this year: “The Dill-usion.”
It’s a Hershey chocolate-covered bacon wrapped dill pickle with sea salt. It costs $8.
There are also the staples like mac and cheese, turkey legs and steak sandwiches.
Country Corner has been at the Fair for over four decades.
“It’s the customers,” Reeves says. “Seeing generations come back and appreciate the food. The relationships you build, it’s really important to us.”
