On August 25, Guthrie hit the red carpet at the U.S. Open Exhibition Match event “Roger Federer: An Icon Returns to New York,” where they watched Federer play exhibition matches against Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi, E! News reported. The journalist wore a sleeveless floral Dolce & Gabbana mididress, transparent heels, and gold jewelry, including a pendant around her neck. She wore her bronde hair in soft waves and kept her glam classic, with a pop of glossy lip.

Tuesday’s outing marked Guthrie’s first red carpet appearance since the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, from her Tucson, Arizona home on February 1. Nearly seven months later, Nancy has still not been located, and Savannah said on an episode of Today back in June, “It’s always with me. I cry every morning on my way to work, and I cry every morning on the way home.”
“And I’m grateful to have good friends and to be able to come to such a beautiful and joyous and supportive place,” she added.

On August 1—which marked six months since Nancy’s abduction—Savannah wrote on Instagram that she and her two siblings have “lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair” since Nancy went missing.
“Every day, we wake up and try to be strong and go on—because that’s what our joyful and resilient Mom taught us to do,” she wrote. “But make no mistake—our hearts are in ruins.”
She added, “We spend every waking moment thinking of her, longing for her, looking for her. There is a hole inside us that can never be filled. There is an ache that cannot be softened. And there is a determination in us that cannot be quenched—to find out what happened to her, so that we can give her the dignity of a proper goodbye—a celebration of her remarkable life that she so deserves.”

Savannah took some time away from the Today set this summer to film her forthcoming game show, based on the popular New York Times puzzle Wordle. On August 10, Savannah said it was “Nice to be back home” after a few weeks away.

In her August 1 Instagram post, Savannah referenced the ongoing search for her beloved mother, writing, “We are begging for help. We are desperate. We need someone to come forward. Someone knows something.”
Noting that she and her siblings “will never stop looking for answers,” she added in the post, “There is a way to end this situation and do the right thing.”
