Orbtopia™ – a spacious, open -plan gallery with more than a dozen interactive features, including:
Orb Launch: Man an air-powered cannon and send glowing orbs flying across the gallery, and dodge the ones coming your way.
The Giant Wall-Sized Interactive Arcade: Team up with friends to clear levels on a massive video wall using real-world objects to control the action.
Glow Dome: Kick back and chill under the ambient light and protection of the Glow Dome – while orb action continues all around you.

The Journey is Part of the Fun: Skyline Views & A Free FerryRide
The fun starts before you even arrive at RECESS. Hop on the free Staten Island Ferry from Whitehall Ferry Terminal in Lower Manhattan, and enjoy a smooth, 20-minute ride to St. George Terminal on Staten Island. For those coming from Brooklyn, board the NYC (“Fast”) Ferry at Atlantic Avenue or Bay Ridge – the views are just as good, they just go by faster when you’re aboard a hydrofoil.
Once you arrive at St. George Terminal, you’re just steps away from Empire Outlets. You’ll find RECESS on Level 2, one level above the waterfront promenade.

RECESS isn’t the only reason to visit St, George. Empire Outlets has shopping and waterfront dining overlooking NY Harbor, and the Ferry Hawks play just up the block at their waterfront ballpark.
A short walk along the waterfront will also take you to the Staten Island September 11 Memorial, or to the National Lighthouse Museum, depending on which way you decide to stroll. A snowball fight can easily lead into a full afternoon out.
