The New York Giants have yet to name a starting kicker ahead of the 2026 season, which kicks off in September.
Undrafted free agent Dominic Zvada has been competing with former Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Ben Sauls for the starting role throughout the offseason. Both kickers have impressed during training camp, but Zvada holds the upper hand entering Week 3 of the preseason.
Sauls remains firmly in the mix after one of his best days of camp during Wednesday’s practice. Both Zvada and Sauls were seen making field goals from 60-plus yards, and head coach John Harbaugh commented on the competition afterward.
“To see them both make 60-plus yarders in a contest was pretty fun,” Harbaugh said. “The longest one that they didn’t make was 69.”
The two will continue competing for the starting role in the Giants’ preseason game against the New York Jets this weekend. Zvada remains the favorite heading into the matchup, but Sauls is making an impact in the final stages of training camp.
