An MTA maintenance worker was stabbed during an argument with a stranger at the Times Square subway station in midtown Manhattan, police said Thursday.
The 30-year-old victim was cleaning the No. 1 train platform at the Midtown station when the attacker stormed up to him about 10:30 p.m. Monday, police said.
The stranger started an argument with the worker that quickly turned physical and ended when the attacker drew a sharp object and stabbed the victim in his left arm, according to law enforcement.

The attacker fled the station on a Brooklyn-bound No. 1 train that had just entered the station, cops said.
Medics rushed the transit worker to Bellevue Hospital, where he’s expected to recover.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect and asked the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts, a black book bag and white sneakers.
