STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — New Yorkers are reporting floods as the region hunkers down for thunderstorms.
On social media, locals posted videos of flooding in the streets on Staten Island. Many videos show intense flooding on Hylan Boulevard.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the tri-state area that will be in effect from 12 p.m. through 11 p.m. on Thursday.
A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for Middletown, Old Bridge, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Sayreville, Holmdel, Red Bank, Keansburg, Matawan, Jamesburg, Cranbury, Brownville, Dayton, Robertsville and Clearbrook Park.
A flash flood warning was issued for Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken, Bloomfield, Hackensack, Orange, Bergenfield, Paramus, Ridgewood, Lyndhurst, Rutherford, Secaucus, Harrison, Ridgefield, Union City, Kearny, Fort Lee, Englewood, Oradell and Norwood.
