Man wanted for allegedly exposing himself at Campbell County Five Below arrested in NYC

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — An 18-year-old Forest man wanted in connection with an incident at a Campbell County store earlier in August was arrested Thursday night in New York City, according to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

Eli Lemuel Howard was wanted on charges of indecent exposure and obscene sexual display following an Aug. 3 incident at a Five Below store in Campbell County, the sheriff’s office said.

Howard was encountered by law enforcement officers on the George Washington Bridge in New York City on Aug. 27 while he was allegedly engaged in a lewd act in public, authorities said. Officers discovered he had outstanding warrants from Campbell County and took him into custody.

Howard will be extradited to Virginia to face the pending charges, the sheriff’s office said.
