The station’s three elevators include one connecting the street to the mezzanine, one serving the Manhattan-bound F platform and another connecting the mezzanine to the terminal. The station serves more than 13,000 riders each weekday.
The upgrades included new elevator cabs and equipment, modifications to the shafts and pits, and modernization of electrical and mechanical systems. The MTA also upgraded remote monitoring, fire alarms, intercoms and cameras to improve security and help crews respond more quickly to outages.
