GEDDES, N.Y. — Republican Candidate for New York State Governor Bruce Blakeman sat down briefly with CNY Central at the Great New York State Fair.

Blakeman said he’s been to the fair a few times. He described what he’s been told by fairgoers on this trip.

“They want change,” he said. “We’re the most overtaxed state in the United States. Our electricity bills are 70% higher than the national average. Kathy Hochul is the most pro-criminal governor. Our economic outlook is 50th out of 50 states. That’s a national embarrassment.”

Blake, who is currently the Dutchess County Executive, will run against incumbent Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul in the 2026 General Election.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
