Man Charged with Bricks of
Fentanyl in The Bronx is Detained
and Now Indicted in SDNY

COURTHOUSE,
Aug 28 – A man arrested after
being charged with arranging
the sale of fentanyl in an
apartment building in The
Bronx on July 30 was presented
and detained on July 31
in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrates Court, covered
closely by Inner City
Press.
His CJA
lawyer consented to detention
without prejudice to making a
later application for release
on bond.
The Complaint had
a photo of “kilogram-sized
bricks of suspected narcotics
consistent in appearance with
fentanyl bricks.”
On August 28, he
was indicted and the case
wheeled out to Judge Lewis J.
Liman.
The case is
Suarez Paula, 1:26-cr-391
