I am saddened that the Norwood News will cease to play its pivotal role in The Bronx as a vital source of local news and information. Its intrepid reporters and journalists, Síle Moloney and David Greene, will be sorely missed for their thoughtful, thorough and astute coverage.

They covered Norwood and the broader Bronx community with professionalism, fairness, accuracy and genuine compassion. When reporting on my office’s work and community events, they brought stories to life with detailed reporting, and photographs capturing the sorrow of victims, the joy of our 5K runs, and the solidarity of our anti-gun violence marches.

 

Síle Moloney was never afraid to ask pointed questions, while David Greene took the time to verify facts with our public information officers.  Their commitment to responsible journalism helped keep our community informed and our public institutions accountable.
