It’s the unofficial last weekend of summer for many, so Labor Day Weekend weather is important.
This year, we’re shaping up to see a decent weekend around the tri-state area.
This is good news, considering the days leading up to the weekend will be quite unsettled, with showers and storms coming in waves between Tuesday and Thursday this week.
Friday will be the day we pivot from a somewhat stormy stretch to a more tranquil, drier pattern.
For beach-goers, that means plenty of sunshine this weekend, but you can also count on temperatures that run a bit cool for early September – in the 70s.
But that’s still warm enough to enjoy your time the sand. Water temperatures will be quite comfortable, too, with most beaches enjoying surf in the 70s.
If you’re more of a mountain person, the Hudson Valley, Catskills and Poconos will be great places to be. Plenty of sunshine and low humidity to enjoy.
The great weather extends well beyond the tri-state, too. From Portland to Pittsburgh, sunshine and dry skies will be the weather staple for Labor Day Weekend this year across the northeast.
