Police from the 115th Precinct are looking for a gunman behind the shooting of two teenagers in Corona on the night of Friday, Aug. 28.
Officers responding to a 911 call of an assault in progress in the vicinity of 103rd Street and 39th Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the arm and an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his ankle, police said.
EMS transported the injured teens to Elmhurst Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
The motive behind the shooting has not been determined, an NYPD spokesperson said Monday, adding that there is no description of the gunman. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

Through Aug. 30, the 115th Precinct has reported 283 felony assaults so far in 2026, 89 fewer than the 372 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 23.9%, according to the most recent CompStat report. The precinct also reported that five people were injured in four shooting incidents so far this year, after none were reported at the same point in 2025, according to CompStat.
