Pete Davidson and Colin Jost are turning their ferry into a floating comedy club for a one-night Snapple event
The free comedy show will feature rising comedians and take place on Sept. 17 at Pier 17 in New York City
Fans can claim free tickets online starting Sept. 3, with Snapple sharing event highlights on their social channels
Pete Davidson and Colin Jost are putting their ferry to good use.
Davidson, 32, and Jost, 44, famously purchased the decommissioned John F. Kennedy Staten Island Ferry at auction for $280,000 in 2022. Since then, the comedians have hosted a number of events on their vessel, including Tommy Hilfiger’s 2025 New York Fashion Week show. But this fall, the ferry is having its biggest moment yet as the former Saturday Night Live costars team with Snapple to create a one-night only comedy event.
On Sept. 17, the ferry will become the Snapple Island Ferry, “a one-day-only, free comedy club built to give New Yorkers an unexpectedly refreshing break from the daily grind,” per Snapple. Hosted by Davidson and Jost, and produced by The Stand Group, a partner in the ferry and the team behind The Stand Restaurant & Comedy Club, the show will feature sets from some the fastest rising stars on the comedy scene.

“Turning the ferry into a floating comedy club with Snapple makes more sense than anything else we considered, and it still doesn’t make much sense,” Davidson said in a statement. “Either way, we’re giving people a chance to take a break, have a laugh, and do something completely ridiculous with us.”
A limited number of free tickets will begin dropping daily at 3 p.m. ET on Sept. 3 and continue through Sept. 8. Fans can claim a pair of free tickets for themselves and a guest at register.snappleislandferry.com. There is a limit of one pair per person.

The event will take place at at 7 p.m. ET on Pier 17, 89 South St in New York City on Sept. 17. For those not in New York, Snapple will be sharing clips and content from the event on their social channels, including the Snapple Instagram and TikTok.
In a video shared on Snapple and Davidson’s social channels, The Pickup actor says, “Hey, so you know how Colin Jost and I bought a Staten Island Ferry? Guess what — it’s now a Snapple Island Ferry.”
He went on to share that he and Jost will be hosting a free comedy share on the boat and “giving people a ton of free Snapple.” When someone off-screen asks if he’ll crack open a Snapple, he adds, “Oh, I’ll give you a nice f—ing crack and sip.”
In 2025, Jost told PEOPLE of the ferry, “It is absolutely the dumbest and least thought-through purchase I’ve ever made in my life.”

He added, “The way I justified it is for the amount of money we were putting into buying it, on just a basic square-footage level, is if you found the right place for it to be, you were essentially buying a building on its side that’s 65,000 square feet. So around New York, that is a very good price per square foot.”
