Summer is winding down, but in Brooklyn, the fun is just getting started.
Once again, it’s time for that annual late-summer tradition of the Brooklyn Labor Day Truck & Tractor Pull. This year’s event is set for Friday, Sept. 4 – Sunday, Sept. 6 at Brooklyn Legion Park, 205 S. First St.
The annual community fundraiser is sponsored by the Brooklyn and Oregon Snowmobile Clubs. Local non-profits, such as the VFW, Legion, FFA and Brooklyn Dairy Queen, help out with stands for their organization or as volunteers. No food or beverage carry-ins allowed.
Friday, Sept. 4
6 p.m. Steak sandwiches from Oregon/Brooklyn VFW
6 p.m. CATP Antique Tractor Pull
6 p.m. Bean Bag Tournament
7:30-11:30 p.m., Music by 1884 Band
Saturday, Sept. 5
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Brooklyn Community’s Annual Fall Vendor and Craft Fair, Brooklyn Elementary School Cafeteria/Gym, 204 Division St.
11 a.m. – Pulls start: P.I. Motorsports – Pro Farm Tractors, Hot Farm, 12, 500 Tractors Enhanced, Super Stock Trucks, 2.6 Diesel Trucks and Farm Tractor & Amateur 4wd Truck Pull
Noon – Kids Pedal Tractor Pulls
7:30-11:30 p.m., Music by Buck Neck-Ed
Sunday, Sept. 6
8-10:30 a.m. – (New this year!) Pancake Breakfast sponsored by Badger Honor Flight
