Livingston County, N.Y. — A Brooklyn man is facing several felony charges after allegedly using counterfeit $100 bills at two local businesses.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office began investigating in October 2025 after employees at businesses in Springwater and Nunda reported possible fraud.
Investigators determined 33-year-old Nicholas Hendricks used the fake bills to purchase various items.
Hendricks was arrested Aug. 26 and charged with:
3 counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument3 counts of first-degree scheme to defraud3 counts of fourth-degree conspiracy3 counts of petit larceny
Following his arraignment, Hendricks was remanded to the Livingston County Jail without bail due to having two or more prior felony convictions, according to the sheriff’s office.
