Ethan Horvath was a monster between the sticks on Saturday night, as the goalkeeper was locked in en route to a clean sheet and a point on the road, a 0-0 draw against Seattle Sounders FC.
Red Bull New York benefitted from Horvath’s six saves on the night, many of which from point blank range. This was Horvath’s second clean sheet of the season.
“Ethan had a really good game,” Head Coach Michael Bradley said.
“We all, always, want more,” Bradley said.
Cameron Harper made his 100th career MLS appearance subbing into the match in the 67th minute.
David Ruiz made his Red Bulls debut subbing into the match in the 74th minute, while Devin Padelford entered the match in the 82nd minute to make his Red Bulls debut.
Ronald Donkor will miss the club’s next match due to yellow card accumulation.
New York’s Starting XI in the match was the youngest in MLS history, with an average age of 22 years, 24 days (22.066 years old).
New York will remain on the road and head to BMO Stadium to face off against LAFC on Wednesday, September 9.
