Brooklyn Nets fans will get a season filled with nostalgia, special events and celebrations as the franchise marks six decades of basketball.
The Brooklyn Nets are celebrating their 60th season with a yearlong campaign honoring six decades of basketball, culture and reinvention, with events and programming planned throughout the 2026-27 season at Barclays Center and across Brooklyn.
The anniversary campaign will highlight players, teams and milestones from the franchise’s history, from its roots in the American Basketball Association to its current home in Brooklyn.
The celebration will feature storytelling, player and alumni appearances, fan experiences, cultural programming and community initiatives aimed at connecting generations of Nets fans.
“The story of the Nets has always been one of reinvention,” said Becky Kimbro, senior vice president of marketing, Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “As we celebrate 60 seasons, we are honoring the players, milestones and fans who brought us here while recognizing how that history continues to shape our future. Whether fans have been following the Nets since the ABA days or are experiencing their first game at Barclays Center, this season is an opportunity to celebrate our shared legacy, the culture of Brooklyn and the future we are building together.”
A six-game Eras Nights series will anchor the anniversary celebration.
It begins with ABA Night on Nov. 18 against the Chicago Bulls, followed by ’80s Night on Dec. 18 against the Orlando Magic, ’90s Night on Jan. 9 against the Houston Rockets, Swamp Dragons Night on Jan. 29 against the LA Clippers, 2000s Night on March 15 against the Indiana Pacers and Hello Brooklyn Night on March 31 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Each night will highlight a different chapter of Nets history through era-inspired entertainment, in-arena activations, alumni appearances and fan experiences.
Fans also will be able to collect anniversary giveaways, including bobbleheads honoring Julius Erving, Buck Williams, Dražen Petrović and the Swamp Dragons, along with mystery giveaways tied to the 2000s and Brooklyn eras.
The campaign also will spotlight Brooklyn’s diverse communities through Nets Unite, a season-long platform featuring AAPI Night, Noche Latina, Black History Month, Pride Night, Chinese New Year, Caribbean Carnival, HBCU Homecoming and Women’s Impact.
Beyond game days, the Nets will host Nets Fest, a free, family-friendly festival featuring player and alumni interactions, basketball activities, live entertainment and community programming.
The team also will continue youth and community efforts through Brooklyn Basketball, its joint youth basketball initiative with the New York Liberty.
Additional promotional giveaways, special guests and anniversary programming will be announced throughout the 2026-27 season.
