A 58-year-old man was killed in Brooklyn after he was struck by an MTA bus in a bus lane near Nostrand Ave. and Clarendon Rd, according to the New York City Police Dept.

Police said the crash happened a little after 8:00 PM Saturday night.
Video captured the man just seconds before he was struck in Brooklyn’s Little Haiti. Cameras from different angles showed the 58-year-old walking toward the bus.
The NYPD said the man stepped off the sidewalk and somehow made contact near the back of the bus as it pulled away.
The man was run over by the rear wheels.
Jean Poinitdujour, who lives in the area, said the tragedy has left people shocked. “That’s a big accident.”
“He was already on the ambulance when I got there, but I felt really sad,” said Mera Francois, who also lives in the area.
“That’s so sad, you know?,” said Poinitdujour, who knew the victim. “The bus, the door was closed. And the bus was driving around, he was going. The guy just fall down and he got hit by the tire, the back tire.”
People who knew the victim said they believe he was intoxicated.
Some people stopped to offer help, but the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police have not yet identified him.
The NYPD said no arrests have been made. It is not clear if the bus driver will face any charges.
