A 17-year-old boy was behind the wheel when his car jumped the curb and struck four women on the sidewalk in the Village of Mamaroneck Sunday afternoon, police say.

It happened just after 3:30 p.m. in front of 251 Mamaroneck Ave.

The teen, a new driver with a valid permit, was being supervised by his father and confused the brake and the accelerator pedals, according to investigators.

Police say all four women suffered minor injuries.

Two victims -20 and 26 years old – were taken by EMS to Westchester Medical Center. The other victims, a 24-year-old and another 26-year-old, turned down medical attention, according to investigators.

Police say the incident was an accident. No charges have been filed as of Sunday night.
