Police are investigating an armed home invasion in Queens after two men were reportedly held at gunpoint and restrained with duct tape while suspects snatched several gold chains on Saturday night.
Officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a residence near Linden Street and Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood just after 10 p.m. on Sept. 5 after receiving a robbery report. Upon arrival, the officers encountered the two male victims.
According to law enforcement sources, one victim told officers that the two perps, unknown to the victims, kicked in the door of his apartment and entered the residence. The second victim said he had come to the apartment to check on what was happening, authorities said.
Police sources said both men were held at gunpoint and forcibly restrained with duct tape, leaving them unable to move. The perpetrators allegedly removed multiple gold chains from one of the victims before fleeing the area on foot and by moped, according to police.
Both victims declined medical attention at the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made yet, though the investigation remains ongoing by the precinct detective squad.
