LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Long Island man is accused of stabbing his 69-year-old father to death in his apartment early Monday morning, police said.
The dad, Edward Brown, called 911 and told the operator he was stabbed in his Mastic Boulevard residence at around 12:30 a.m., according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Authorities rushed to the apartment, but Brown could not be saved, police said.
The victim’s son, Sage Arias-Brown, 33, was arrested shortly after and charged with second-degree murder, cops said.
The suspect is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
It was unclear what prompted the attack.
