New York City public school students head back to class this week, with the first day of school on Thursday.

This school year marks the second year of the statewide ban on cell phones and other internet-enabled devices in classrooms. But experts say navigating the digital age can require more than limits on screen time.

The National Eating Disorders Association says parents can help prevent body image concerns and disordered eating by having honest, proactive conversations with their children.

Jessica Scheer, CEO of the National Eating Disorders Association, joined “Weekends On 1” to discuss how parents can support their children as they head back to school.
