RIVERDALE, NY – Entering her second season on the coaching staff, Manhattan University women’s basketball assistant coach Dee Dee Davis ’23 has recently been promoted to Recruiting Coordinator, announced by Head Coach Heather Vulin.
“This program means so much to me. I was first recruited here as a 16-year-old girl. Now, as a wife and mother, being promoted to Recruiting Coordinator makes this journey even more special,” commented Davis.
Last season, the alumnus joined Vulin’s coaching staff for her 10th season at the helm in 2025-26. The Jaspers secured yet another trip to Atlantic City for the MAAC Tournament, winning their first-round matchup against ninth-seeded Marist. That win over the Red Foxes marked the fourth time in the last five seasons that the Green and White won at least one game at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
As a player, Davis suited up for Manhattan in between the sidelines starting in 2018 and concluding with two First Team All-MAAC campaigns in 2021-22 and 2022-23. She was also a member of both Jasper teams that made the MAAC Championship Game in 2022 and 2023, scoring 35 in the former against top-seeded Fairfield. As a senior, Davis averaged 15.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, along with 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals on a nightly basis. She was named Preseason MAAC Player of the Year and won Player of the Week on three occasions.
“I take great pride in finding the next wave of Jaspers and helping continue to build a program that has given me so much. I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity. Go Jaspers!”
