NEW YORK (PIX11) — A beloved New York institution is coming back after 10 years.
Carnegie Deli will be reopening its doors on Sept. 15, down the street from where it was originally located.

The new location, 834 Seventh Ave., formerly housed its longtime rival, Stage Deli.
Returning to the new location will be the framed photos of celebrity patrons along the walls of the eatery and the model of a giant pickle.
Guests will remember the humongous pastrami and corned beef sandwiches offered at its original location. Other items, like the cheesecakes and black & white cookies, will return.
Some new items will also be on the menu. Guests may have the chance of trying babka french toast and fried deli pickle chips.
“Carnegie Deli has always been about more than the food – it’s about the memories people have here,” said SarriHarper, CEO and granddaughter to former owner Milton Park. “We want the people who grew up with Carnegie Deli to walk in and immediately recognize it, while giving a whole new generation the chance to make those same memories of their own.”
The restaurant will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. As with the original location, seating will be walk-in only.
