Police in Brooklyn opened fire on a teenage suspect who went on a wild rampage of armed robberies and carjackings before trying to run cops down with a stolen vehicle in the borough on Tuesday night, it was reported.

According to police sources, the crime spree began at about 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 8, when officers responded to a 911 call reporting an attempted gunpoint robbery outside a fast-food restaurant at 1624 East 16th St. in Midwood. Authorities said two teenage suspects allegedly displayed a firearm and attempted to rob a 24-year-old man, but the victim managed to flee.

Minutes later, cops reported that the armed duo allegedly approached a 23-year-old man sitting inside his vehicle outside 1478 East 15th St., pulled him from the car at gunpoint, and drove away in the stolen vehicle.

Officers located the stolen car about an hour later after it had been involved in a collision within the confines of the 69th Precinct based in Canarsie. There, police arrested a 16-year-old boy and charged him with criminal possession of stolen property and obstructing governmental administration.

His alleged accomplice, however, remained at large.

A short time later, police reported, the second suspect carjacked a 54-year-old woman as she sat inside her vehicle outside 2060 Kimball St. in Marine Park, allegedly pulling her from the car before fleeing toward East 100th Street and Avenue K.

At about 8:39 p.m. Tuesday night, officers from the 69th Precinct located the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop the driver blocking the roadway. Authorities said the driver instead veered onto a sidewalk and drove toward an officer, prompting the cop to fire a shot. The suspect was not struck.

The driver continued fleeing before crashing the vehicle near Pennsylvania and Wortman Avenues in East New York, where officers took him into custody.

Charges against the second teen were pending Wednesday as the investigation remained ongoing.

The NYPD’s Force Investigation Division is investigating the police shooting.
