Pilot makes emergency landing at popular Long Island park – NBC New York

The FAA is investigating after a small plane made an emergency landing on Long Island.

Chopper 4 flew over Robert Moses State Park around 10 a.m. Wednesday where the blue aircraft could be seen parked in one of the large parking lots.

Only the pilot was in the plane at the time of the emergency landing, the FAA said.

“The pilot of an Edge 540 made an emergency landing in a parking lot in Babylon, New York, around 9:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Sept. 9,” an FAA statement said.

No injuries were immediately reported.

There was a large response from State Police. No word on if any arrests were made.
