A Staten Island man is accused of threatening and swinging a hammer at his neighbor during a dispute over a water leak in Grant City. Authorities say the leak came from Salvatore Rinzivillo’s apartment and went through the victim’s ceiling. Rinzivillo was arrested on Aug. 10 for the incident, which happened on July 10 at about 8 p.m. in the building where he lived on Colfax Avenue. The victim went upstairs to notify him after noticing the water leaking down. The criminal complaint says Rinzivillo told the victim, “Get the f–k out of my house,” and later, “Mind your business before I f—–g kill you.” It also alleges he picked up a hammer and swung at the victim’s head, narrowly missing. He has been charged with attempted assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, and he pleaded not guilty to all charges. Rinzivillo was released on his own recognizance and is due back in state Criminal Court in St. George on Oct. 14.
