I thought I knew what an aggressive burger looked like until I pulled up to KX Burger & Beyond in Astoria, Queens. This place does not play around.

I went in specifically to try their famous Golden Burger. The menu listed it as double patties with melted American cheese, house-made barbecue mayo, and a wild blanket of queso poured over the entire top. Pure madness.

I decided to ask for an extra patty just to take things up a notch. What I didn’t realize was that the kitchen had already prepared the base stack. An aggressively beautiful mistake.

When the plate hit the table, I was looking at a three-patty, queso-drenched beast. Cheese was literally cascading down the side of the bun. Look at that.

The first bite was pure chaos in the best way possible.

The Meaty Stack: Three thick, juicy beef patties smashed to perfection with crisp edges.

The Cheese Overload: Melted American cheese holding the meat together, topped with a rich, silky queso smothering the entire bun.

The Sauce: A tangy house-made barbecue mayo that cuts right through all that richness.

Every single bite was messy, chaotic, and completely unreal. My hands were covered in queso within two seconds. The result? Incredible.

Sometimes you just want to feel like a kid again with a messy, unbelievably delicious meal. This might just be the most aggressive burger experience I have ever had in New York City. 100% recommended.
