An anti-extremism rally organized by #EndJewHatred took place on Sept. 8 near the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) headquarters in downtown Manhattan, just three days before the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Many of the rally’s speakers urged Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist, not to attend the city’s annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony, because his past public statements diminished the gravity of the terror attacks and detracted from the focus on the victims.

One prominent speaker, Shabbos Kestenbaum, spoke bluntly about the DSA.
“Who are the DSA really? … They are individuals like Zohran Mamdani who praise the Holy Land Five, a convicted terror front, who were convicted in a federal court for providing millions of dollars to terrorist organizations. The DSA are individuals like Mahmoud Khalil who call for the eradication of Western civilization. The DSA are people like Abdul El-Sayed who justify an attempted terrorist attack on a preschool in Michigan by saying ‘hurt people, hurt people.’”

“So let me be clear to people like Zohran Mamdani, and Mahmoud Khalil, and Hasan Piker, and Abdul El-Sayed, if you don’t like America one of the great things about our country is we are blessed with a multitude of airports. You should visit one of them and leave.”
