STATEN ISLAND, New York (TNND) — A worker was found dead after an apparent explosion on a barge on Staten Island on Thursday, according to law enforcement officials. All other workers have been accounted for.

The apparent explosion took place on a petroleum barge named Casablanca at 3249 Richmond Terrace just after 2:30 p.m.

Firefighters have responded with a fuel unit and will drain excess petroleum from the rest of the damaged container.
