Four albums by Queen take up space on the charts in the United Kingdom this week. That is an impressive showing for any act, but for Queen, it is one that is not that surprising, since the troupe remains one of the most beloved and bestselling acts of all time. It is not unusual for one or two traditional studio LPs, as well as a handful of compilations, to sit near one another or on adjoining rankings.

At the moment, when it comes to Queen on the U.K. charts, it is all about singles collections and soundtracks, as multiple similar releases chart together thanks to continued consumption of all kinds. One Queen project returns to a single tally this week, helping the group double up on multiple lists.

Queen’s Flash Gordon Soundtrack Returns

Flash Gordon returns to the Official Soundtrack Albums chart, the only ranking where it can be found in the U.K. this frame. The set bounds back in at No. 48, settling in second-to-last place on the 50-space roster.

Flash Gordon Reappears After More Than Half a Decade

Flash Gordon debuted on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart in November 2018. It disappeared from the roster in May 2019 and then returned in February 2021, when it became a No. 1 hit Queen. The soundtrack quickly vanished again and had not been seen on the ranking in more than half a decade before this week.

Queen Fills Two Spaces on the Soundtrack Chart

Queen claims two spaces on the Official Soundtrack Albums chart. As Flash Gordon reappears, the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack also gains ground, inching a single space to No. 17.

That project has now spent 315 weeks as one of the most-consumed soundtracks in the U.K. Amazingly, despite its evident popularity, Bohemian Rhapsody never reached No. 1. It debuted at No. 2 behind A Star Is Born, and second place turned out to be its all-time high, as the collection spend more than half a dozen frames in that spot.

Queen Doubles Up on Another Albums Chart

The Official Soundtrack Albums chart is one of two rankings where Queen scores multiple wins this week. The group also fills a pair of spaces on the Official Album Downloads tally. The Platinum Collection climbs four spots to No. 74, while Greatest Hits rises seven rungs to No. 91.

Queen’s Greatest Hits Climbs on Three Rankings

Greatest Hits is the only Queen release to appear on multiple U.K. rankings. In addition to its lift on the Official Album Downloads chart, the compilation also rises on both the Official Albums and Official Albums Streaming tallies. The collection steps up to No. 52 on the Official Albums Streaming chart and No. 57 on the Official Albums ranking.

Queen Claims Three Rock Hits in America

Queen is also enjoying a big week when it comes to songs. Three tracks – compared to four albums – can be found on the U.K. rankings this frame, and all three appear on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart.

“Don’t Stop Me Now” holds steady at No. 8, while “Bohemian Rhapsody” rises back into the top 10 – up from No. 13 – and settles at No. 10. “Another One Bites the Dust” also improves its standing, advancing slightly to No. 29.

Of that trio, “Bohemian Rhapsody” is the only cut that appears on any other tally. The classic climbs to No. 16 on the Official Vinyl Singles chart and No. 24 on the Official Physical Singles ranking.
